Gran Gesto Wins Back to Back World Cup Qualifiers

June-29-11

Milton, Ontario,June 26 - Gran Gesto, Jacqueline's 2008 Olympic partner proved once again that he can dance with the best by winning both World Cup Qualifiers at the back to back CDI Ws held over the last two weekends in Milton Ontario. Riding their exciting and much admired Alexander Freestyle, they managed to win both of the only two Canadian Qualifiers for the 2012 Final to be held in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, next April.

After the competition, Jacqueline remarked how proud she was of her 16 year old partner who has been selected for four Canadian teams - 2003 Pan American Games, 2006 World Equestrian Games, World Cup Final 2007, and 2008 Olympic Games - as well as the Dressage Masters last March in Florida.

She was quoted in www.dressage-news.com as follows:

"I think there are very few, if any, other horses that have made all five"

"I have no real plans with Sam. He is16 this year and has make every team dream a reality for me. For now, I'll compete him as long as he is fresh and willing. And when he decides he's had enough, I have a nice big field at the farm for him to retire to."

"But judging from the last two weeks, I think we are still a little away from that"
